BIO:
Born in Wisconsin, Art Atwood got his start in the gym trying to improve on his football skills. By his senior year of high school weight training had become a primary focus. With his love of weight training, competitive bodybuilding was the only logical next step. Art entered his first contest weighting 185lbs and won the teen class at the 1993 Mr. Wisconsin. It would be 6 years before Art would enter another show. He would spend the next years perfecting his physique and piling on pounds and pounds of muscle. In 1999 Art hit the stage again, this time at 236lbs, Art won the Wisconsin shows super heavyweight title. With several more shows under his belt, in 2001 Art entered the NPC Nationals where he earned his pro card by taking 1st in the Super Heavyweight class. 6 months later Art would enter his first pro show. Under the guidance of Chad Nichols not only did he manage a stellar performance but in 2002 in his pro debut, Art would win the overall at the Toronto Pro Invitational.
